Once the computer boots back into Windows 10, go back to the Windows 10 accounts settings (using steps 1 and 2) and click the Access Work or School tab. You should be able to remove the account now that it has been uncoupled from your local account.
The computer will then need to log you out and sign back in using the new account information/password. Go through the steps on the screen. It may ask you to re-enter your PIN if one is set, then ask you to enter a new account password.
